St. George - Day 3

On our last day, we decided to visit the grounds of the St. George Temple and take a drive up Snow Canyon. All that the kids wanted to do was swim in the hotel pool with the Scoresbys, so we let them do that for a couple of hours.Riley and Brant were very disappointed when their friends had to leave. I mean, they only get to see them everyday at school. No problemo - we happened to meet up with them again on the temple grounds. Great minds....

Here are Riley and Rilee:
Sorry that Trent is partially cut out of this picture. The sun was so bright that I couldn't see the screen on my camera. On our drive up Snow Canyon, we stopped at the Entrada Country Club. "What is that," you ask? Why the actual place where High School Musical 2 was filmed, silly! "Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!"Now that is one happy ten-year-old and her flat eight-year-old cousin, who also looks very excited. Taylor, Gavin didn't mean to tear your neck. You know he really loves you.If you can enlarge this picture and look closely you will see two people who have more rapelling rope than they have sense. And last, but certainly not least, here is a real volcano. It has been extinct for a long, long time, but still very cool to look at. You can even hike it and explore the crater. Payton, we'll definitely do that when you come to visit. Just kidding!
Taylor seems very impressed:Here is how we passed the time on the way home. No, we didn't get a new car. That is the minivan we rented for the trip. We figured the Expedition was too expensive to take down there. Let's see, 10 mpg versus 25 mpg at $3.50+ per gallon. Yeah, you do the math. Plus, minivans are so COOL! No, really, I'm not making a joke. The kids thought we were riding in high style in that van. Probably one of the best parts of the whole trip.

I actually had another video that was a little better of them singing, but Lance kept sticking his hands down his shorts legs. Yeah, I'll post a video of my child not in a car seat, but not one of him with his hands in his pants.
