Monday morning we got going bright and early to see what kind of fun we could have on the other side of the bay. Our first stop was at Bass Pro Shops. That was a great place to go to get out of the heat. We tried out the shooting range, explored the tents, and even got to watch them feed the fish.A group this size has got to eat, so next we headed into Foley for a much-anticipated lunch at Lambert's Cafe. The kids ate themselves silly, literally. It's a good thing we enjoy being together so much. The car rides are always fun. The only problem is that we can't ever agree on what to listen to. The boys like Jack Johnson and the girls like Hannah Montana. So, we take turns. While we waited to leave for our next stop, Brant couldn't take the girly music any longer so he emptied out the diaper bag and put it over his head.
Rounding out our Baldwin County excursion was a stop at the Fairhope Pier. We got to watch these two guys return from scuba diving and dock their sailboat.
At the end of this fun-packed day you'd think we'd be ready to take it easy at home. Not so much...we ended the day with a night swim and ice cream party at the Singletons. The kids still had plenty of energy to swim while the grown-ups sat around the pool talking and checking in on what was happening with John and Kate...
