On The Road Again...

After spending our last afternoon in Mobile hanging out with the Emmertsons and packing up the car, we left Annie's house just before midnight Sunday to begin our drive back to Utah. By Monday afternoon we were in St. Louis and the kids asked if we could go see the arch. We were actually headed to Nauvoo to see the Church History sights, but we took about a 30 minute detour from our planned route and spent some time here:
Then it was on to Nauvoo for us. We got there just in time to tour some of the historic homes that were occupied by early members of our Church. Our favorite home was the Browning House. The Browning family were gunsmiths who provided many of the weapons used by the Mormon Battalion.
After touring the homes we enjoyed a nice picnic dinner while we waited for the evening show to start.
Here are Riley and Brant participating in the Children's Parade during the show, "Sunset on the Mississippi."
