{Scenes from a fun and busy Saturday}

Ricky, Riley, and Brant started the day by running a 5K in the neighborhood. The race was part of a fundraiser for the family of a sweet neighbor who passed away suddenly last April. Their inspiring story can be found here: http://www.dennyandwendy.blogspot.com/

All three of them rocked the race with Riley beating her daddy, but he didn't mind. During the race, Gavin had a T-ball game so Lance and I headed over to that while Trent went to his last day of football camp.

Later, we rode bikes over to the Floyd's house for a BBQ and slip-n-slide party. We were celebrating our friend Taylor's last round of chemo. Bishop Floyd (from the 7th Ward), or Dan as we like to call him, set up a huge slip-n-slide behind his house. It was 15 feet by 135 feet and seriously fun...

We had a really pleasant evening watching the fun from the deck and chatting with the grown-ups. I love spending time with Stephanie (Dan's wife) and my cute friend Jennifer (Taylor's mom). We always have so much fun together. Stephanie is always such a gracious hostess and so generous in inviting people into her home.

Dinner was yummy. We all brought sides and desserts but the best one of the night was Jennifer's delicious summery raspberry cake. My kids loved it so much that Jennifer was waiting with one of these cakes for our very own the next day when we got home from church! I love that lady...

And lastly, here are Gavin and Colton. Colton is one of Trent's football friends who Gavin has gotten to know in the car when we take or pickup the boys from practice. He thinks Colton is pretty awesome and was excited to pose for this picture with him...
