{Happy Birthday, Jack!}
Jack turned 16 last Wednesday. Crazy. 16. Wow. Laurie invited us over tonight for a cake party. We are so happy and excited for Jack. He is so fun and just a great kid. Can we still call him a kid? Either way, he is a blessing to our family and such a good friend to Trent.
In other news, Ricky left this morning to spend a week in Maryland. He will be training with the good people of FEMA in earthquake preparedness and response. He texted me this picture this morning...
He flew into Washington D.C. and took a shuttle to the FEMA training center in Maryland. While he is gone, the kids get to take turns sleeping with me. All except for Trent - he doesn't want to. :) Gavin also doesn't care about sleeping with me. He just wants to occupy the bed of whoever's turn it is. Here he is sleeping soundly in Brant's bed...
