{The sun sets on a melancholy day}
Today we attended a special stake conference for our Stake (Saratoga Springs North) and the Saratoga Springs Stake. Before today, our Stake, which is our neighborhood, had 12 large wards and the SS Stake had 13. A new Stake, the Saratoga Springs Crossroads Stake, was created with four wards being taken from each of the two Stakes. We lost the Harvest Hills 1st, 8th, and 10th wards and the SS 9th ward. When the conference was announced a couple of weeks ago, the question on everyone's mind was "Which wards will go?". We speculated probably more than we should have, but I don't think many people expected to see the wards go that did. We have many dear friends in the new Crossroads Stake and we are thankful for our associations with them. We will cherish the times we spent with them, especially as we planned and attended Girl's Camp and Trek together. We wish them the best as they build their own Stake together. We know it will be amazing!
