This Meeting Of The Giggly Girls Club Will Now Come To Order

Sometime during the school year, Riley and five other girls in her class organized themselves into a club they call the Giggly Girls. Besides being inseparable at school, they get together about once a month at one of their houses to watch a movie or just play. Yesterday it was our turn to host the giggly fun. Here they are eating their snack: (Andrien, McCall, Bethany, Riley, Rilee, and Niccolina) Riley and I thought it would be fun for them to make a craft using my vinyl-cutting machine. We decided to let them each make a wooden sign to hang in their rooms. Here are the three that were still here when I remembered to take a picture. They turned out cute, huh? Afterwards I got to be thinking what a fun idea it would be for a birthday party. It really was super easy. I went to Home Depot and bought a 1"x8"x6' and cut the wood into 1 foot sections. Then I drilled the holes for the ribbon. When the girls got here, I let them choose their paint, vinyl and ribbon color and ...

I heart John Parker Wilson

In case you didn't hear, yeah, turn up the sound. The Devil went down to Georgia on Saturday and took some names and "ran up in the bleachers and slapped they mommas." I'm just sayin'! Yeah, I thought the music was fitting. Sorry it's not the real version but that one has a little more profanity in it than I really wanted blaring out of my computer's speakers. So, anyway, we thoroughly enjoyed watching our Alabama Crimson Tide whoop Georgia Saturday night. I only got to see the second half (I thought I should probably go to the RS Broadcast ), but that was good enough for me. My John Parker Wilson was at the top of his game leading the Tide to a 41-30 victory over the (formerly) number 3 Georgia Bulldogs. Ok now, everyone knows that I've been crushing on J.P. Dub-ya for like three years now, ever since we started watching his little brother, Ross, on Two-a-Days on MTV. I know, I know, we don't watch it anymore since they stopped following the footb...

Mr. Bilbao

For an End-of-Year gift, Trent's teacher, Mr. Bilbao, gave each of his students a DVD of pictures taken throughout the year set to music. It was a really nice gift that he obviously worked very hard to put together. He had pictures of each student from various events and field trips and the music was great. At the end of the video, the words "Wait For It" scrolled up the screen, and then we were treated to this little gem: (In the video, Trent is the one with the football.) ***Be sure to scroll down and pause the music at the bottom of the screen.*** Who knew he had such talent? This one's definitely a keeper. (The video and the teacher.) I've mentioned a couple times on my blog how fun and hip Mr. Bilbao is. I think by including this on the DVD, he cemented his place in our hearts and minds as perhaps the coolest teacher ever! A big "Thank you!" to Ricky's coworker, Roger, for helping me out with the technical stuff.
