There are a few gadgets/tools in my kitchen that are must-haves for me. And this is one of them. My trusty Batter-pro fish battering system. Perfect for preparing fish for frying and so much more...
It was given to me several years ago my a friend in Alabama. And we have battered lots and lots of snapper, catfish, and in Utah, tilapia with it. But, here is what I think this genius design should have really been created for... Muddy Buddies!
It'a perfect for coating the chocolate-covered Chex just right with powdered sugar. Just fill one side with the prepared Chex, sprinkle the sugar on the top, and shake, shake, shake. So easy, even the little ones can do it...
Here is the recipe from bettycrocker.com:

cups Corn Chex®, Rice Chex®, Wheat Chex® or Chocolate Chex® cereal (or combination)
1
cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2
cup peanut butter
1/4
cup butter or margarine

teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2
cups powdered sugar
  • 1Into large bowl, measure cereal; set aside.
  • 2In 1-quart microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter uncovered on High 1 minute; stir. Microwave about 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla. Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag.
  • 3Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
