Riley found out last Friday that she has made the final two in the running for Freshman Secretary, so she got to give a speech today during lunch. She practiced and practiced last night. I stopped in to hear the speech and inconspicuously take a picture from the balcony. She did a great job... hope she wins! :)
Later, we were so happy to have Kliss and the boys stop in for a visit on their way to Idaho for Spring Break. We brought the old Winter Wheat Way crowd (plus the Grimleys) back together for a Navajo Taco Party. We had SO MUCH FUN partying and visiting. We didn't think to take a picture until right before Kliss left (sorry Jilyn), but suffice it to say that it was just like old times...
After everyone had left and the kitchen was clean, I stood there for a minute to reflect on the evening and to be thankful for friends who have truly become family. This kitchen was a happy place tonight, thanks to those people in our lives who love us in spite of our craziness, love our children like their own, and will always come back to, or stay on, or move to (hint, hint) the WWW.
