{Labor Day rafting down the Provo River}

We started with a Jeep ride up Provo Canyon. Ricky, Trent, Brant, and Gavin left before us to pick up the raft from the Recreation Dept. at BYU. Riley, Lance, and I followed a little while later and met them at Vivian Park. We needed two cars up there today so that we could transport the raft to the spot where we would put in, then have a vehicle to get back up to that spot. On our way up the canyon, the view was breathtaking. The leaves have started turning colors and with the top off the Jeep and the bright blue sky, we couldn't believe that we were so lucky to be able to see and feel it all...
When the boys arrived, we piled in the Expedition with the raft and inflated it at the spot where we would put it in the water. I seriously love every picture in this post. The day was perfect. So pretty...
It took us about 1 1/2 hours to float down the river to Vivian Park where we left the Jeep. It was so wonderful to just kick back in the raft on the cool water, surrounded by the beautiful mountains and enjoy just being together. We enjoyed it so much that everyone wanted to go for another round. Ricky and Trent went in the Jeep to get the Expedition, we deflated the raft enough to fit it in the car with all of us, too, and we drove back up so we could float down a second time.

After returning the raft to BYU, we stopped in at Red Robin for dinner. The kids were so excited to see this game showing on ESPN when we got there...
These pictures that I took are so classic. Totally the way they act together. Crazy and foolish...
For some reason it took them forever to bring Gavin's Kid's Meal, so they brought us two complimentary pieces of their famous ice cream pie...
