{Happy 12th Birthday to this cool kid}
Today is Brant's birthday and we are so excited to celebrate with him! A little bit about Brant, stolen from my Facebook status...
He speaks Spanish like a boss, advanced to the rank of 1st Class Scout this week, knows a freakish amount of college football trivia, and he's my favorite! (Shhh...don't tell the others!)
So, there you have it. I seriously love this kid. He wanted a new gun for his birthday and Ricky was happy to oblige. His day started with sibling gifts, a special breakfast, then Ricky and Trent left to set up a shooting course in the hills behind our house. We gave them a few minutes to get everything ready before the rest of us drove up there for Brant to get his gift. It's an antique Ithaca Model 37 20 gauge. The first pump shotgun designed by John Browning...
He shot at a few clay pigeons on the ground to get the hang of it, then moved on to shooting them out of the air...
We saved our gingerbread house from Christmas for target practice...
Everyone took turns taking a shot at it, and here is what was left...
We brought a few other guns, so everyone got a chance to shoot...
Later, we celebrated with cake and ice cream before we picked up Brant's friend Conner and left for the 10:30 to midnight session at Lowe's Extreme Air Sports...
