Scenes from a happy first day of school and a HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to us!
We gathered this gang on the porch this morning for a quick picture and reflected on the wonderful, blessed life we have been given. If you had told us 19 years ago that today we would be sending five kids off on their first day of 1st, 4th, 7th, 10th, and 12th grades, in Utah no less, we would have thought you were crazy. Well, maybe we're the crazy ones. And how thankful we are for this crazy ride...

The high schoolers...
Our walk to the middle school bus stop...
Brant boards the middle school bus...
Lance waits in the 4th grade Spanish Immersion class line. He was the only one who wasn't at all excited to start school. This picture of him rubbing his eyes makes me a little sad, but he'll be ok...
Gavin waits outside his 1st grade classroom with his buddies. This is his first year of Spanish Immersion. He'll have my friend and the best teacher ever, Mrs. Jorgensen for half the day, then he'll go to Srta. Vasquez for the other half...

For lunch, Ricky and I met at his favorite Japanese Steakhouse in Sandy for a little anniversary date...

...and we picked him up after work to squeeze out a little more summer fun at Seven Peaks...
...where I tried out the new LifeProof case on my iphone. It's a fun little gadget:)
