{Football and a little Jimmy Buffett Concert!}

Ricky brought Trent's camera to Brant's game this morning to get some up close shots of Brant playing Center...

After Brant's game, we were off to Vegas for the Jimmy Buffett concert! Buffett is one of our family's favorite singers and when we found out that he was coming to Vegas and the tickets were reasonably priced (for the nosebleed sections), we decided that this is one thing we couldn't pass up before Trent leaves on his mission next year. The car ride was just a little mini-road trip for us and super-fun. Gavin practiced his sight words...
...and Lance proudly ate three bags of Doritos...
The view from the rooftop pool at our hotel...
Before the concert we met up with our favorite used-to-be-neighbors, the Francises for dinner at a casino buffet. We loved getting to hang out and catch up with them. And the food was yummy! :) The crotchety host didn't want to seat us all together so we let the younger kids have their own table. It was a party...
After dinner, we drove over the the MGM Grand for the concert. So excited!
He played all of our favorite songs. But our most favorites at the concert were "A Pirate Looks at Forty" and of course "Knee Deep". We didn't realize that the average age of the Buffett fan was 60. We were definitely some of the younger ones there. We didn't see any other families and everyone who walked by us told the kids that it was awesome that they were there. Buffett himself thanked the parents in the crowd for raising their kids on his music. Well, you're welcome, Jimmy!
Gavin had a little too much fun and fell asleep for a little while...
After the concert we walked around the Grand for a little while, then headed back to our hotel. What a fun night! :)
