At E.R. Dickson Elementary School, it is tradition for the 2nd graders to have a Thanksgiving Feast. Taylor's teacher was nice enough to let Riley join them. When Riley was in 2nd grade there, the Thanksgiving Feast was one of the last activities she attended before we moved. So, she was very excited to be able join Taylor this year. We saw Riley's 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Downey, who seemed as excited to see Riley as Riley was to see her.
I took this picture while the children were observing their "moment of silence" before they began eating. They were told to take a moment and think about a few things they are thankful for. It is nice that even though teachers are not allowed to lead their students in prayer, the students were still able to take a moment to be still and reflect on their blessings.
