Movie Night

As promised, here are a few pictures from "Movie Night." Nothing beats the winter blues like the cheer that comes from a house full of people. I love seeing the shoes and snowboots pile up by the front door because that can only mean one thing: the house is full of people and the warmth and cheer they bring with them.
A couple weeks ago the kids were out of school on a Friday for a teacher workday. I knew I would let them have a late night and watch a movie so we thought it would be fun to invite some friends over to watch it with us. I have to say that we have some of the nicest friends. They were all so polite and only as hyper as one would expect 17 kids between the ages of 6 and 11 to be. Most of the boys traded Pokemon cards and threw around a soft football the whole time. (We watched "The Game Plan" so I figured they would want to play football while they watched the movie.) Here they are during a particularly calm moment:

Riley is so lucky to have her closest friends from last year in her class this year. Here are her, of course, with McCall, Andrien, and Rilee S. Such sweet girls. The other two girls in the picture above are Cori and Lexi Bushman from down the street. The boys always far outnumber the girls when we get together with our close neighbors so we have to invite girls from other parts of the neighborhood. Sure wish our cousins were here.

Cute pictures, but I am glad you don't have smell-o-blog. Ha. Just kidding. I am sure all of those kids smell just fun after playing all day, especially the boys.

Oops, I think the kids smell FINE, not FUN. What does fun smell like anyway? Maybe Chocolate?
