I mentioned previously that Santa brought us our very first video game system this past Christmas. We've had to establish a few rules regarding when and for how long they can play, but all in all, having gaming in the house has been a pleasant experience. We set up a little gaming room in the "study" on the main floor that was recently vacated by Brant when he took over Trent's room when Trent finally moved to the basement. Hence, the Alabama "A" on the wall. We considered putting the game room in the basement, but decided that we preferred to have all the action happen in the main part of the house. I found a sweet deal on this little sofa-bed couch at IKEA, we put the new TV on a storage unit also from IKEA and here we have a fun little place for the kids and their friends to hang out in the afternoon. It even keeps some of the noise isolated to that area so my piano students aren't distracted.
This afternoon, Gavin S. (the big Gavin, as he is called by the little Gavin) brought over two extra controllers and he, Jack, Trent, Brant, and Zack played for a while.
