In an effort to put off doing his homework, Brant sat down this afternoon to determine once and for all how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Pop. He wrote a tally mark for each lick and found out.... I know you're dying to know... it takes 171 licks to get to the center. You're welcome.
Speaking of candy, Riley had an assignment for a technology class she's taking to build a robotic arm that could reach into the bottom of a water jug and pull out candy. After some pretty intense engineering and a late-night rescue from our neighbor, Josh, who brought us some duct tape (Ricky was at church and I wasn't about to go to Wal-Mart in the freezing cold to get duct tape), her robotic arm was ready to go this morning...
