Before we left California we knew we needed to dip our toes in the Pacific Ocean, so we headed to LA. Our first stop was the Los Angeles Temple where Riley and Trent did some family baptisms. Ricky went into the Temple with them first and performed the baptisms. I was with them when they were confirmed.
While we waited, the little boys and I took a walk around the Temple.
The gate to the front lawn was open and the boys were dying to roll around in the grass. I told them they couldn't because it was the temple grounds, but this nice elderly gentleman who was working on the grounds heard them and told me, "Of course they can!" He told them to take off their shoes and feel the soft grass that he had just cut. They didn't have to be told twice...
After the temple, we drove to the ocean...
The beach was cool, but the kids weren't all that impressed. Not like Alabama beaches.
They did think that the amusement park on the Santa Monica pier was cool.
Here is Brant swinging....
This about sums it up... We stopped at Applebee's in Vegas on the way home for dinner. Riley is bored and Trent is eating. She was so ready to get home.
