{Brant's Back to School Date}
Today we kicked off our Back to School season with Brant's Back to School date. Each year I take each of the kids on an individual day date to prepare for the school year. We start be making a list of the things they need, then go shopping. It always includes lunch at the restaurant of their choice and an activity that they also choose. My favorite part is just talking to them one on one about the school year - what they are excited about, what they are nervous about, and any other concerns that go along with their particular age. :) Brant and I started at Target, then Chik-fil-a for lunch and he wanted to spend the afternoon going to the Salt Lake Parade homes in Daybreak. I promise that was his choice. His favorites are the houses with the really cool basements but unfortunately, there weren't many in Daybreak with finished basements. He did find a comfortable couch to lounge on, though...
High five... we're ready for fifth grade!
