{Six Flags Over Georgia!}

The kids have been excited to go to Six Flags all Summer. The Emmertsons have season tickets and Annie figured out that with some buddy passes she had, we could all go for pretty cheap. The only sad part about the day was that we knew that this would be our last day together. But we made the most of it and had a blast! Our families had rooms right next to each other in a hotel just down from the park. Gavin woke Hayden up bright and early...
After eating breakfast at the hotel, we went straight to Six Flags and stayed until they kicked us out...
While the big kids rode the scary rides, Hayden, Lance, and Gavin rode the kiddie rides. The grown-ups took turns with each group...
Lance and Gavin loved standing on the bridge and getting sprayed...
At lunch-time Annie and I went to get pizza. Everyone met us in the parking lot and we had a pizza party in the car. THIS is living...
After lunch we rode the train back in...

For the afternoon and evening, we rode as many rides as we could and found our hearts growing heavier and heavier as we knew the day would have to end. We shut down the river rafting ride. They even let us ride it one extra time after we begged them. It was dark by the time we got off...
The girls walked slowly back to the car. We will be going with the Emmertsons back their hotel where they will stay another night and go to Six Flags tomorrow. We will take showers and get on the road, driving overnight until we get to Washington D.C. in the morning. Here's to another amazing summer...
Back at the hotel, Brant and Payton wanted to eat their dinner out in the hall. I went out to take a picture. When I asked them to smile, Payton couldn't hold it together. She laid her head on Brant's shoulder and cried. I love that sweet, sensitive little girl.
To lighten the mood, I added a few words to the picture...

Until next time, Emmertsons... We love you!
