{The after-sod party porch party}
On Ricky's way home from taking Riley to Westlake for a volleyball game tonight, he passed the house of her friend, Lexi. Lexi's parents had a trailer full of sod in their driveway that they were beginning to unload. He pulled over to talk to them and found out that they were planning on laying the sod tonight and didn't have many helpers. He came home, picked up Trent and Brant, and headed back over to help. I finished making dinner, then brought the other two boys over. We finished laying the last piece of sod just after dark, then the porch party began. This reminded me of when we were putting in our yard five years ago. We had neighbors that would just walk up and start helping. Whether it was removing rocks, digging trenches, laying sprinkler pipe, or laying sod, someone was always available to help. We were thankful for the opportunity to pass it on...
