{Early Christmas Presents}
When my Mom was here, she and Riley picked up "The Christmas Train" by President Monson at Deseret Book for the boys for Christmas. This evening was so fun and festive with Christmas carolers and neighbors dropping off goodies that we decided to calm things down a bit and let them open the book. We gathered around, listening to President Monson read it in his own words on CD, and felt the spirit of this sweet story.
We have a couple that lives around the corner from us, the Bucklews, who we love very much. Ricky and Trent have been their home teachers for several years and they administer the Sacrament every week in their home to Brother Bucklew, who is homebound. Sister Bucklew is a sweet lady who I admire as a friend and teacher. This afternoon when Ricky and Trent returned from their visit with the Bucklews, they had a large wrapped gift that the kids begged to open. To our surprise, Sister Bucklew had ordered an Alabama plaque for us! What a perfect gift...
