{Happy Easter and a very HAPPY 17th BIRTHDAY to TRENT!}

Seventeen years with this boy has been the happiest of our lives. He is a blessing to us in so many ways, everything we could ever hope for in a son. In Alma 53 the 2000 Stripling Warriors are described as never having been a disadvantage to the Nephites, but also a great support in their time of war. This passage always makes me think of Trent. Not only has he never been a disadvantage to our family, but as he grows is a great support to us as parents and to his younger siblings. We sure love that boy. :)

From my Facebook wall today...
Happy Easter and happy birthday to Trent today! He has been making life pleasant for everyone around him for 17 years! He loves old school country music and his old Ford truck. He is committed to serving an LDS mission and serving our country in the US Army. He works hard and plays harder. He only wears shoes when he absolutely has to and loves to do anything outside. He recently wrote that his goal in life is "to give more than he takes". We couldn't be more proud of the young man he has become and we are so happy he was born:)

Our birthday and Easter celebration began with a visit from the Easter Bunny who left a trail of droppings. Yuck...
...and gifts for the birthday boy before church. I love how Lance and Gavin are looking at Trent in this picture.They sure love and admire their big brother and are excited for him to open his new camera. He picked out this Pentax and hoped to get it for his birthday. It is sturdy and rugged...dust proof, moisture proof, shock proof... perfect for Trent...

We had crepes for breakfast...

...and Trent's choice of steak for dinner...

And to end the day, the big kids organized an Easter egg hunt for the little guys...
