It is a sad day in our neighborhood.  This morning, funeral services were held for little baby Atticus Jack Cox, who passed away in his sleep on Wednesday evening. Atticus is the sweet four month old son of our friends Jen and Ryan Cox. They are wonderful, beautiful parents who, along with their other three children, love Atticus as much as anyone has ever loved a baby. I have always looked up to Jen as someone who truly enjoys motherhood and puts her heart and soul into everything she does for her children. The funeral was beautiful. The talks were reverent and comforting. And I was reminded again how special it is to live in this neighborhood full of people who care. While our pain is not the same pain that the Coxes are feeling, I know that their pain is our pain. We ache for them in their sorrow. We love them and I know that in the days to come the strength of the good people around us will buoy up their sweet family. The ladies in the 7th ward put together a lovely luncheon after the funeral and then this balloon release at the park...
(Thank you for the picture, Lanae, I totally stole it from your blog.)

And Riley and Trent ended their time at Youth Conference with a hike...
Rachel texted me this picture of them with Cameron and Jack. Looks like they had fun and are probably ready for a shower. :)
