Our trip back to Denver was super-fun considering the circumstances. These last 2 1/2 weeks have been nothing but awesome. So much fun together and so many happy memories made. We were making great time until we got almost to Denver and the interstate was CLOSED (seriously closed - not just a couple lanes, ALL southbound lanes!) because of a wreck. So, instead of taking the detour route with the other one million cars, we decided to rely on our trusty iphone maps and take a few backroads. Haha...it actually ended up being a good thing and we made it to the airport just in time for the girls to jump out of the car (no teary good-byes for us) and run to catch their flight.
We really are so lucky to have eachother. We are blessed that there is so much love in our families, the kids are crazy about eachother. And so so blessed to be able to visit so often. Only 15 more weeks and we will meet them in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to watch a little Alabama football game, then spend two weeks in Mobile for Thanksgiving!

The drive home from Denver was pretty peaceful and passed quickly. Being by myself, it was nice to just spend some time thinking and reflecting on all of the good things in my life. Our family has been incredibly blessed since we moved out here 7 1/2 years ago. It is so so hard to be far away from the place that we still call home, but I know that living in Utah is perfect for us. It's the right thing, undeniable.

Riley loves Panera Bread, which we don't have in Utah. So, when I passed a sign for one in Denver, I knew that I needed to pull off the interstate and pick up some goodies to bring home...
A couple pictures of the beautiful western Wyoming sky at sunset...
Meanwhile in Utah, Ricky took Riley out for a little driving lesson...
