Last fall our family decided to take a break from sports for a season. On Saturdays we slept in, ate breakfast together, watched College Game Day, worked around the house... This year, we're back in. We hit the ground running this morning. To Westlake at 7am for Riley to catch the bus to her cross country meet. Back to Westlake at 8 for Brant's pre-game warm-up. Westlake again at 9 for Brant's football game. Down to Orem for Riley's meet. (She PRed!!!) Then to Lehi HS for Lance's football game. Luckily there are no city soccer games this week or we would have added a soccer game to the mix. Then back home this afternoon to watch the Alabama game and to the eat ribs that have been slow cooking since early this morning. I'm thankful for my healthy, active kids, seasons of rest, and seasons of crazy fun! Happy weekend, y'all, Roll Tide, and GO Westlake!!!

After lunch we sat our chairs up on the sideline to watch Lance's 4th grade team play Lehi...
Today is Alabama's first game of the season against Virignia Tech. We slow cooked ribs for the occasion and Riley's cute friend, Rae, came to visit for a couple hours. They sat in the kitchen and we chatted while I prepared dinner. Her parents came to pick her up right when it was time to eat so we sent her home with a couple plates full...
